I've gone through the issues and found this is yet to be implemented for Android. I'm aware of elevation property but this is something iOS has but not Android.
Seriously, it becomes necessary to have such basic feature.
Input fields don't look intuitive, for an unexperienced user, without inset shadow.
For those looking for something "okay", try this style :
This is fundamental to allow implementing current design trends on apps.
Yess. We really need this
Please add customizable Shadows for android as this is a very important or we can say base feature for the app
elevation property also does not give much any control on the shadow. it would be nice to see a uniform shadow api implemented for ios/android.
The closest I can find is this - https://github.com/Kishanjvaghela/react-native-cardview - it supports pre Android 5 and is provides consistency with iOS - however still no control or multiple shadows just elevation.
@Noitidart: Thanks. I have updated library to 2.0.0 for better support.
@Kishan Vaghela: Thank you!
@Kishan Vaghela: Hi, i would like to know if this library works on expo.
@Gabriel Bento Lisboa: It does not because Expo does not support libraries that have a linking step in their installation
@Yassine Chbani: it will. just eject using expo eject and install any react native package
